About the role
You will serve as a Financial Management Specialist and be responsible for supporting accounting for all CEU Oakland financial and property accounts and serving as the point of contact for customers, activity, command, and contracting teams regarding CEU Oakland financial and property accounts. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Monitoring, reviewing, and analyzing the execution of approved budgets and resource management plans. Executing fund certification in approved financial systems ensuring integrity of data reflecting status of commitments, obligations, and expenditures. Serving as the Funds Manager verifying the availability of funds for procurement requests/Contract obligations. Periodically providing training to incoming unit staff and providing more detailed financial management training to co-workers in Contracting and Planning & Resources staffs.
