Information Technology Specialist (Systems Administration)

Serve as a systems and network administrator, with responsibility for planning and coordinating the installation, testing, modification, upgrading, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the mission systems and network hardware and software. Analyzes performance metrics and lessons learned to identify the needs, opportunities, and recommendations of specific strategies to improve the J6 technical approach to and the efficiency and effectiveness of the mission-essential IT functions. Performs a wide range of technical services as a systems and network administrator. Provides technical guidance and instruction for Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) infrastructure design/development support. Defines J6 (C4) systems administration standards and procedures governing IT activities.
