About the role
VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package. The duties include but are not limited to: Manage the podiatry staff and podiatry residents to form a cohesive group to provide comprehensive care of the veteran patient with foot or ankle disease or injury. Lead the continuous quality and improvement efforts and ensure patient safety in all realms of podiatric patient care. Routinely performs outpatient and inpatient podiatric examinations, determines diagnoses, and initiates treatments based on podiatric education, licensing, and standard of care. If the staff Podiatrist has operating privileges, will independently manage cases in the perioperative period and perform Podiatric Surgical procedures as indicated. Serve as a consultant to other medical center staff and trainees. Train/supervise podiatry/medical students, podiatry/medical residents, and midlevel providers. Provide patients with education concerning their disease state and expected treatment regimen. Other duties as assigned
