In this position, then incumbent may be assigned duties to serve as Administrative Contracting Officer, Contracting Officer's Representative, and Construction Technical Lead on assigned construction projects. Serves in Construction Contract Administration Subject Matter Expert role with Administrative Contracting Officer and Contracting Officer's Representative duties as assigned. Manages and directs the performance of Branch activities that involve office engineering and quality assurance work for the Construction Branch. Participate/presents as needed in conferences with representatives of higher authority, contractors, resident engineers, area engineers, officials of the Construction Branch, Engineering and Construction Division, and other segments of the District. Investigates controversial situations with contractor that have or are expected to lead to a formal claim(s) by the contractor; and, that have contributed to contract changes, labor strikes, unfavorable weather, unforesee
