About the role
Plans and carries out geotechnical investigations for projects. As a technical leader, directs preparation of investigation reports, design documents, detailed construction drawings, and technical specifications for projects. Performs dam and levee risk assessments related to geology, geomorphology, engineering geology, groundwater, and seepage. Serves as a senior geologic advisor and consultant to other elements of the District relative to evaluation of technical geologic matters. Provides a wide range of technical expertise for the development, oversight, and review of groundwater models, seepage controls, and water well construction for various projects in the District. Prepares design memoranda, design analysis and complex geological evaluations for embankments, structures, and foundations used for preliminary investigations, survey reports, general design, and final design.
