About the role
Serve as a Wildlife Biologist on the Directorate of Public Work’s staff responsible for the management of the installation’s endangered species, fish and wildlife programs through the Fort Gordon Integrated Natural Resources Plan (INRMP). Conduct wildlife training and environmental education to fort Gordon activities and the public. Develop short- and long-range proposals, programs and budgets for the installation fish and wildlife program. Prepare contract statements and specifications for work program requirements. Assist forestry personnel with wildland fire programs that include prescribed burning and wildfire suppression activities. Perform as a fire line crew, equipment operator or fire boss using various tools and heavy equipment. Manage and support the Fort Gordon hunting and fishing program by setting seasons and bag limits through the iSportsman system.
