FINANCIAL SYSTEMS ANALYST (CYBER)

Evaluative skills sufficient to analyze, interpret, and assess GAFS, DCMS (or other AIS) financial system operations, information, procedures, and practices. Working knowledge of system life cycle management in order to investigate and evaluate tools and methods for improving automated finance and accounting systems’ quality and productivity. The employee keeps the supervisor informed of progress, significant problems, and actual or potentially controversial issues. The employee uses judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness in interpreting and adapting guidelines to specific problems or situations. Tests the audit trails for various transactions to determine the effect of operational issues related to accounting procedures. Analyst prepares system documentation and input to assist technical personnel in improving or developing software in accordance with organizational needs and acceptable industry standards.
