About the role
You will serve as a subject matter expert concerning technology development and history of torpedo propulsion systems including lithium boiler energy sources and associated after-body components. You will serve as a consultant to the fleet, program office, outside commands, and internal leadership and entities regarding maintainability and sustainment of undersea weapons systems. You will solve complex engineering or scientific problems. You will have responsibility for project leadership, technology evaluation, acquisition, and transitioning systems from technology development to life cycle maintenance with an emphasis on continuous improvement in supportability and reliability.
