About the role
You will prepare and apply various paints and proper finishes to process aircraft, aircraft engine structures, components, assembles, and/or sub-assemblies. You will apply sophisticated coating materials such as water base, elastomeric and low VOC materials to aircraft, components and ground support equipment, and radiation reflecting coatings to cockpits and canopy enclosures. You will clean and prepare aircraft, engine, and miscellaneous components and parts, by chemical, mechanical, and sonic methods using various chemical solutions. You will control and maintain temperature consistency and effectiveness of the various solutions. You will use abrasive sandblasting equipment to clean, remove corrosion, and other contaminants from parts and equipment. You will set-up equipment, select the proper size of shot, and masks parts to accomplish work tasks.
