Special Advisor

Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Serves as a senior expert advisor within WHMO relative to short and long range planning and the development of future capabilities and resource requirements for all WHMO missions. Serves as a senior level program manager and advisor to executive leadership and professional staff in the headquarters and Unit and Directorate offices relative to WHMO processes. Provides support to the Director, Strategic Initiatives, who oversees the execution of applicable WHMO oversight boards and WHMO Operational Commissioning efforts. Maintains awareness of trends and developments in commercial industry and their impacts on current and emerging issues that may impact WHMO. Develops and maintains relationships with key Defense, Homeland Security, and Intelligence partners to understand and assess evolving and emerging threats to the WHMO mission and capabilities from domestic, state, and non-state entities. Provides technical and management
