About the role
You will build various supporting structures for the ship while it is under construction, and build various supporting and cushion structures in preparation for launching. You will build staging structures in various areas such as dry docks, piers, utility floats, and inside large voids and tanks to support production shops. You will prepare ships for launch by manufacturing and repairing wooden brows, landing platforms, and stairways. You will lay out and build blocks, cradles, and other parts for supporting craft in dry dock, and other structures. You will work from blueprints, plans, sketches, and other various specifications.
