MILITARY PAY TECHNICIAN

Review and validate military out-of-service claims and a small number of civilian claims. This involves researching unclear claims and communicating directly with the claimant for clarification. Manually calculate payments for members based on board directives and claim research. This often involves reconstructing records and computing multi-year tax and pay information. Prepare payment vouchers after claim adjudication. Reconstruct and correct the appropriate pay systems (DJMS and MCTFS) to accurately reflect the necessary adjustments. Analyze records, determine corrective actions, and input transactions to correct military records and review claims, using knowledge of active duty, reserve, and out-of-service pay systems. Utilize various automated systems to accurately review and process claims and corrective actions.
