About the role
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of IT professionals, which oversees managerial aspects of the team. Includes assigning work, setting priorities, evaluating performance, and handling personnel management tasks. Provides expert technical advice and guidance on IT systems, infrastructure, and cybersecurity. Ensures that all projects comply with federal laws, regulations, and agency policies. Prepares system documentation for purposes of improving software development processes in accordance with acceptable industry standards. Serves as the primary liaison between customers, vendors, and internal teams. This involves assessing customer needs, resolving issues, and managing expectations. Manages the entire lifecycle of major, multi-year IT software application projects, from initiation to completion. Includes defining the project scope, gathering requirements, and creating the product strategy and roadmap.
