About the role
You will be reading and interpreting blueprints, Submarine Maintenance Standards, Naval Ships' Technical Manuals. You will set up and maintain temporary vacuum systems, adjusting pumps to assure proper flow, and performs preventive maintenance of pumps to prevent any spills. You will recommend chemical mixtures for sanitizing tanks, parts washers, and high-pressure steamers based on a general knowledge of their applications. You will make adjustments to pressure levels of blasting, steam cleaning, and parts washing equipment. Recognize improper temperature settings for chemical leaning washers and make the required adjustments. You will be operating various types of equipment to pump sanitary material, fuel, oil, and contents of tanks and bilges on various marine vessels.
