What will I do in this position if hired? In this position, you will serve as a Supervisory Emergency Management Specialist (Preparedness). Typical assignments include: Performing the full spectrum of supervisory responsibilities, including planning, coordinating, and directing the work of the division to ensure effective program execution and consolidated regionalized feedback in accordance with the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP). Developing strategic continuity plans, engaging in preparedness outreach within communities, developing and executing exercises for emergency management plans, and executing a training program for emergency management professionals. Providing coordination and assistance to major preparedness program activities to ensure the capability to continue essential functions during response and recovery from any event, incident or disaster.
