About the role
You will serve as a Maritime Training Auditor (Technical Specialist) and be responsible for providing direct continuity between senior leadership and field-level External Auditor (EA) activities and mariner training provider compliance measures. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Develops inspection and audit Techniques, Tactics, and Procedures (TIP), check lists, or other Mission Management System (MMS) documents and ensures unhindered accessibility and proper version control Prepares and monitors External Auditor (EA) preparation of audit reports according to TTP and MMS documentation and publishes within prescribed time-frame Issues and reviews EA's Corrective Action Reports for each non-conformity discovered and ensures plan of action is developed that contains root cause analysis and solution to permanently remove the non-conformity Ensures EAs have proper training, including ISO-specific standards, a
