About the role
You will plan and estimate work to re-activate equipment that has been out of service of extended periods of time, provide feasibility studies on future crane needs, develop crane disposal plans, assist in developing/validating crane financial plans. You will provide Lead Engineer responsibilities in ensuring overall effective and efficient direction, planning, organizing, controlling, and monitoring of Lifting and Handling special projects. You will arrange support required through various shipyard departments and offices and ensure that services are provided by/during the timeframe requested. You will evaluate various types of lifting and handling equipment available to meet the shop requirements. You will manage the entire crane procurement program for the Shipyard.
