NDT INSPECTOR (CRITICAL SKILLS)

You will perform complex nondestructive test and analysis on complex and non-routine mechanical components, piping systems, and structural assemblies related to Naval surface ships and submarines and nuclear propulsion plants. You will utilize knowledge of mathematics (algebra, geometry, and trigonometry, physics, and a physical and chemical properties of the materials being inspected. You will examine metals, composites, ceramics, plastics, and other materials for internal and external structural defects, delamination, corrosion, and moisture penetration. You will perform surface Inspections using Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) inspection methods. You will interpret, evaluate, and analyze test results by discriminating electromagnetic signatures, waveforms, digital images, and the density of processed firm.
