About the role
You will serve as a Procurement Analyst and be responsible for optimizing procurements to support LOG-9 and all Areas of Responsibility (AOR) including the acquisition of supplies, services, minor construction, or emergency response to procure any commodity/ service required to support the AOR. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Reviews contracts and contracting actions for a variety of supply, service, and/or construction contracts, the development of guidance material, and provision of technical supply-chain advice to management and contracting officers. Advising management and contracting officers on matters pertaining to contracting actions, including contracting procedures and policy interpretation in day-to-day contact and through formal correspondence, for major systems or programs, including small business and socio-economic programs.
