About the role

As a Chief Financial Officer, you will: Serve as the technical authority on budget formulation, presentation, and execution. Participate in executive teams to shape the Agency's strategic direction beyond fiscal concerns, produce high-level approaches to address priorities and customer needs. Guide the preparation and defense of budget submissions to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and Congress. Act as the primary point of contact with OMB, present budget plans to senior management, and provide expert testimony at congressional hearings to secure necessary operational funding. Oversee the preparation of annual and quarterly financial statements and coordinate with independent auditors. Guide and secure accounting and financial systems to prevent Anti-Deficiency Act violations and establish strict controls to guard against fraud, waste, and abuse.
