Contract Specialist, GS-1102-09/11/12 Direct Hire

This position is responsible for procuring aviation related supplies and services to ensure availability of aircraft parts and services necessary to support mission targets. At the full performance level of GS-12, typical work assignments include: Serving as a contract specialist responsible for the full range of pre-award and post-award procedures to plan and conduct the acquisition process from the description of the requirements through final delivery. Reviewing requests and analyzing the requirements, recommending specific revisions to the statement of work or specifications, deciding on the type of contract, milestones and procurement plan. Negotiating contract terms and conditions including quality/air worthiness, pricing, delivery schedules and vendor incentives for good performance.
